At University of Nottingham we have a vision to be the best UK University for Sport. As a manager within the Participation department, you will lead, devise and implement the UoN Sport engagement and outreach programmes. You will oversee the management of the Intramural, Just Play, Moves and Active Living programmes, providing strategic leadership to create meaningful insight driven interventions that open up sport and physical activity to encourage greater participation in sport and strengthen community and sense of belonging.
The successful candidate will join the participation team dedicated to engaging, including and empowering students to participate in sport and physical activity at the University of Nottingham. Our approach places students at the heart of everything we do.
We are looking for someone who has a passion for sport, physical activity and wellbeing, puts students and people first and enjoys working collaboratively in a team environment.
In this role you will:
- Provide strategic oversight and direction for the Engagement Team and its associated programmes
- Develop and maintain mutually beneficial partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders to maximise engagement in sport
- Lead on the recruitment, management, training and work programmes for the 4 members of staff, part-time student ambassadors and volunteers
- Manage and be accountable for delegated budgets
- Lead on robust monitoring and evaluation plans demonstrating the impact of the engagement programmes
