Sports & Fitness Assistant - Grade 3.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with lifeguarding swimming sessions
- Carrying out gym inductions, programmes and offering help and advice if required
- Welcome and develop connections with all guests, providing support, assistance and specialist knowledge where required

Key Skills and Qualities:

- National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (to be achieved within 2 months of probation — organisation to fund training)

The candidate must be a competent swimmer and be willing to obtain the essential qualifications within the specified timeframe. Competent swimmer criteria include:

- Jump/dive into deep water
- Swim 50 metres in less than 60 seconds
- Swim 100 metres continuously on front and back in deep water
- Tread water for 30 seconds
- Surface dive to the floor of the pool
- Climb out unaided without ladder/steps and where the pool design permits
