Senior Technician (Film Production)

The Arts University Bournemouth is seeking a Senior Technician (Film Production) to join its technical team. This role supports the film production facilities and resources of the university, providing expert technical assistance and guidance to students and staff.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and development of film production equipment and facilities. You will provide technical support across a range of film production disciplines including camera, lighting, grip, and sound equipment.

Key responsibilities include managing the loan and maintenance of film production equipment, delivering technical inductions and demonstrations to students, supporting the safe and effective use of facilities, and contributing to the development of technical resources and services.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience working in a professional film production environment or a similar technical role within higher education. You will possess a strong working knowledge of industry-standard camera systems, lighting rigs, and associated film production technology, along with excellent communication and organisational skills.
