As Senior Lecturer in Advanced Clinical Practice, you will play a key role in delivering our MSc Advanced Clinical Practice programmes, including the direct-entry and apprenticeship routes. You will also contribute to relevant elements of the MSc Surgical Care Practice programme and other areas of the core curriculum, bringing your professional and academic expertise to teaching, learning and assessment.

You will help students develop the knowledge, confidence and practical skills needed to succeed in advanced clinical practice. Working with colleagues across the University and our practice partners, you will contribute to clinical skills and simulation teaching, support workplace educators and assessors, and may lead modules, programmes or related projects. You will also have opportunities to shape curriculum development, quality enhancement, continuing professional development and wider enterprise or research activity.

You will be an enthusiastic and experienced advanced practice educator or practitioner who is committed to creating an excellent and inclusive student experience. You will hold a relevant degree in Advanced Practice or Advanced Clinical Practice, or an equivalent qualification, and bring experience of innovative postgraduate teaching in higher education or clinical practice.

As Senior Lecturer in Advanced Clinical Practice you will have substantial experience of teaching, supporting and assessing learners in the workplace throughout their advanced clinical practice journey. You will also contribute to module or programme development, delivery, leadership and quality assurance, together with workplace-based learning and assessment.

You will communicate confidently, build effective relationships and be able to influence, advise and mentor others. You will also be able to support students with a range of academic and personal needs and work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners. A higher education teaching qualification and Advance HE Fellowship, or a commitment to work towards these, are also required.
