Research Associate (Internal Only)

The Aston Institute for Forensic Linguistics is looking to welcome a talented and collaborative Research Fellow to join our vibrant and internationally recognised research community. We are keen to hear from candidates who hold a PhD in Forensic Linguistics or a related discipline and have experience of conducting high-quality research and analysis within the field of forensic linguistics.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to research that makes a meaningful impact. Working alongside a supportive team of researchers, you will help shape, develop and enhance the Institute's research portfolio, contributing to projects that influence policy, practice and understanding at local, national and international levels.

You will play an important role in developing innovative research ideas, securing external funding opportunities and building strong partnerships with academic, professional and industry stakeholders. Whether working independently or collaboratively, you will contribute your expertise to advancing the Institute's research activities while supporting a positive and inclusive research environment where new ideas and perspectives are valued.

We are particularly interested in candidates who are passionate about applying their knowledge to real-world challenges and who are enthusiastic about working with others to generate impactful research outcomes. In addition to the essential skills and experience, applicants should be able to demonstrate the effective application of Appraisal Analysis to forensic data.

Essential requirements include a PhD in Forensic Linguistics or a related discipline and experience of conducting high-quality research and analysis within the field of forensic linguistics.
