Our priorities and programmes of work are governed by the Integrated Infrastructure Board, directly managed by the Digital Transformation Board and the Modernising IT Infrastructure Board.
To provide expert project management to a high-profile, strategic, digital and business change programme. The HR and Finance Transformation Programme is a complex and fast-paced programme, consisting of multiple workstreams and projects that together will deliver a significant transformation of key services - including the implementation of a new ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system and changes to the HR and Finance service delivery models.
You will manage packages of work across one (possibly two) workstreams, from planning, change control, risk management, oversight of financials and adhering to governance controls, to ensure all technical and business change components are executed seamlessly. By effectively managing relationships with project sponsors, system owners, external partners and the wider programme team, you will guarantee that projects meet their financial and operational targets while delivering sustainable value to the University.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications needed:
- Project management experience in a technical, customer-focused environment.
- Experience in operating at a strategic level and interacting effectively with specialists and decision-makers.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Proven success in initiating and leading change.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of the role.
- Strong communication skills, able to engage and influence others at all levels.
- Collaborative, hands-on approach and willingness to be involved and active at all levels.
It would be ideal if you hold a professional qualification in IT project management (such as PRINCE2 or APMQ).
The University strives to be diverse and inclusive – a place where we can ALL be ourselves. We particularly encourage applications from people who identify as Black, Asian or from a Minority Ethnic background, who are underrepresented at the University. We offer family friendly, flexible working arrangements, with forums and inclusive facilities to support our staff. As a Disability Confident employer, we will ensure that a fair and proportionate number of disabled applicants that meet the minimum (essential) criteria for each position will be offered an interview.
