The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is one of the world's leading public health universities. Our mission is to improve health and health equity in the UK and worldwide; working in partnership to achieve excellence in public and global health research, education and translation of knowledge into policy and practice.

This post is for a Project Coordinator within the Stone Research Group and primarily responsible for the management and coordination of William Stone's Coefficient Giving funded project 'Targeting school-aged children to deplete the infectious reservoir (TACTIC)'.

The TACTIC project will evaluate the impact of enhanced and novel chemoprevention strategies in school-age children, to reduce all age malaria burden. It will involve two cluster randomised trials in Burkina Faso during malaria transmission season. This research is led by a multi-disciplinary consortium from LSHTM, GRAS (Burkina Faso), IDRC (Uganda), LSTM (UK), and RUMC (Netherlands), and aims to shape policy, optimise malaria prevention, and support future chemopreventive and transmission-blocking interventions.

In addition to TACTIC, the project coordinator will support other projects within the Stone and Drakeley Group, as needed. They will support group-wide travel arrangements, contract extensions, staff reimbursements, invoice payments and credit card reconciliations.

The post-holder will be a member of the department administration team and be accountable to the Principal Investigators within the department.

Responsibilities include providing efficient administrative, logistical and financial support from set up to closure for a portfolio of research projects which may have multiple overseas collaborators or complex funder requirements. The post-holder will develop a good understanding of the funder terms and conditions for the project(s), providing sound advice and ensuring compliance with these and the school's policies and procedures, including the Financial Regulations. Experience arranging travel and accommodation and processing staff reimbursements is required.

The post is full-time at 35 hours per week (1.0 FTE) and fixed term until 30 September 2027, with the possibility of extension depending on funding. The post is funded by Medicines for Malaria Venture (MMV) and Coefficient Giving and is available immediately.

Benefits include 30 working days annual leave per year (pro rata for part-time staff), discretionary Wellbeing Days, and membership of the Pension Scheme. The post is based in London at LSHTM.
