As Project Capability Workstream Lead, you will take end-to-end responsibility for one defined capability within the University's Student Record Systems implementation programme. You will set direction, determine priorities and lead delivery across system design, process transformation, data readiness, testing, training and organisational adoption. Working as part of the Programme Leadership Team, you will coordinate multi-disciplinary colleagues, supervise Junior Business Analysts and manage complex dependencies across functional and enabling workstreams.

You will work closely with senior academic and professional services leaders, translating strategic, operational and regulatory requirements into practical solutions. You will lead high-impact discussions, resolve competing priorities, own workstream risks and provide clear assurance on progress, quality and readiness. The role also gives you delegated authority to make workstream-level decisions and recommend readiness for go-live, escalating only matters with wider programme, financial or regulatory implications.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape how the University operates after implementation, helping colleagues prepare for change and embedding sustainable, accessible and effective ways of working.

Please note this role is currently only open to Edge Hill University Staff Members within a substantive post.

About You

You will bring experience of delivering complex projects or systems implementations in a structured environment, together with a strong understanding of project planning, risk, issues and dependencies. You will be confident leading process change or operational redesign, making evidence-based decisions and maintaining accurate, auditable project documentation.

You will be highly organised, analytical and attentive to detail, with excellent communication and facilitation skills. You can build productive relationships across diverse stakeholder groups, influence without relying on formal authority and turn complex information into practical solutions. A degree, or equivalent relevant professional training or experience, is essential. Project management, business analysis or change qualifications, experience of higher education, and knowledge of system implementation activities would be advantageous.

Rewards & Benefits

A minimum of 38 days annual leave per annum (inclusive of bank holiday and University closure days). Discounted membership to our onsite state-of-the-art sport and leisure facilities. Staff benefits scheme providing discounts across the high street, supermarket shopping, cinema tickets, dining out and more. Employee assistance programme with access to free confidential counselling sessions, legal & financial advice, and health & wellbeing resources. A wide range of development programmes to enhance your career. Beautiful award-winning on-campus working environment. Automatic enrolment into the Local Government Pension Scheme.
