We are seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced individuals interested in joining our team as Hourly Paid Lecturers in Mathematics Initial Teacher Education (ITE).

Applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have significant current or recent experience of teaching Mathematics in a secondary school or Further Education setting. Experience of teaching Mathematics at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 is essential, together with a strong understanding of curriculum design, assessment and effective classroom practice.

The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of Mathematics across our Initial Teacher Education provision, supporting trainee teachers to develop the knowledge, skills and professional behaviours required for a successful career in teaching. Teaching responsibilities may include lectures, workshops, seminars, subject-specific pedagogy sessions and other programme-related activities.

Applicants should have a strong commitment to high-quality teacher education and be able to draw on recent classroom experience to help trainees bridge theory and practice. Experience of mentoring trainee teachers, supporting Early Career Teachers, or teaching within higher education would be advantageous but is not essential.

This is an excellent opportunity to support the development of the next generation of Mathematics teachers within a supportive and collaborative teacher education environment. We are particularly interested in candidates who can offer regular availability, as we typically require up to two days of teaching per week across the academic year.
