We are looking for someone to join our busy team within the International Relations Office (IRO) as our Global Opportunities Coordinator.

You will support all aspects of the University's study abroad and exchange activities, taking a lead role in coordinating, maintaining and renewing international partnership agreements that enable students to access global study experiences. The role also involves maintaining accurate partnership records, producing reports and management information, and supporting data-informed decision-making relating to global opportunities and exchange partnerships. You will also help to develop and maintain a range of marketing and communications materials that support these opportunities.

The duties of this busy and varied role require excellent organisational and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a high level of autonomy. The successful candidate will be a confident, effective team player who can build positive relationships with a wide range of people, including international students, staff, and external stakeholders from around the world.

They will possess excellent IT skills including Microsoft 365 applications (particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and be confident working with databases, online systems and web-based resources. They will also be able to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining close attention to detail in a calm and professional manner. Previous knowledge and experience of international mobility programmes would be desirable.

This is a part-time role, working 29.2 hours per week (0.8 FTE). The team currently works in a hybrid model. The successful candidate will be expected to be on campus for a minimum of three days per week (with some flexibility to support visits or out of hours events) and we are open to a discussion on how the hours are structured across the working week.

We consider ourselves to be a university where difference is celebrated, respected and encouraged. We have an excellent international reputation with staff from over 60 different nations and have made a positive commitment towards gender equity and intersectionality receiving a Silver Athena SWAN award. We truly believe that diversity of experience, perspectives, and backgrounds will lead to a better environment for our employees and students and encourage applications from all genders, backgrounds, and communities, particularly from under-represented groups.
