We are seeking a Finance Operations Manager (Treasury and Compliance) to join our Financial Services team.

Reporting to the Head of Financial Operations, you will lead the University's Treasury and Compliance function, ensuring effective management of cash flow, banking operations, treasury reporting and financial controls across the University and its associated entities. You will play a key role in safeguarding the University's financial integrity by maintaining strong governance, supporting regulatory compliance and driving continuous improvement across treasury and compliance activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced treasury or finance professional to influence the development of financial operations within a large and complex organisation. You will work closely with colleagues across the University, providing expert advice on treasury management, compliance requirements and financial controls, whilst supporting the delivery of strategic projects and service enhancements.

The role also includes responsibility for leading and developing a small specialist team, maintaining strong relationships with banking partners and external stakeholders, and identifying opportunities to improve processes through technology, automation and best practice.

About you:

You will be a finance professional with a strong background in treasury, banking or financial operations and a proven ability to deliver effective financial control within a complex environment. You will be confident managing competing priorities, analysing financial information and providing clear advice to a range of stakeholders. You will have experience of leading teams, driving service improvements and developing robust processes that balance operational efficiency with compliance and risk management requirements. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential, together with the ability to influence positive change and work collaboratively across a diverse organisation.

The postholder is required to have an ACT qualification (or equivalent) or equivalent experience. You must also hold an AAT qualification (or equivalent) or a qualification in a business related discipline with experience of financial transaction environments.

What we can offer you:

We have a fantastic package of rewards and lifestyle benefits – from an attractive annual leave entitlement to access to a comprehensive employee benefits platform which includes a 24/7 online GP. Our people are our most important asset. We'll encourage you to make the most of your talents and continually develop your skills and knowledge. As well as realising your career ambitions, you'll be making a positive difference to other people's lives.

We are proud to be a diverse, multicultural university. We are committed to building a truly inclusive culture where diversity is championed. Applications are particularly welcomed from individuals who will support the diversification within the University and support its development of a culture that is inclusive and welcoming to all.
