We are seeking to appoint invigilators to join the team, starting with the spring term assessment period in January 2027. Successful candidates will be reliable, punctual and diligent, with excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm and composed under pressure. A good understanding of spoken and written English, along with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, is crucial. Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage but is not essential, as full training will be provided.

Summer Term: 4 May – 4 June 2027
Summer Vacation: End of August/Beginning of September 2027
Candidates would need to be available from 9:00 am for morning exam sessions and 1:30 pm for afternoon sessions. Shift end times vary according to the length of the exams.
This is a part time, casual post, available from 1 December 2026 for a fixed term period up to 10 September 2027 (earlier end dates are available if appropriate).
Candidates must be available to complete a mandatory Right to Work check on Tuesday 17 November 2026 and a training and induction session on Wednesday 6 January 2027 AM. If you are unable to attend either of these dates, please do not apply.
If you have any previous experience working as an invigilator or supervisor of an exam venue, we are also seeking to appoint exam venue supervisors. If this is something you are interested in, please indicate this on your application form.
We welcome applications from external and internal candidates. Internal candidates should note that only current staff, new starters, and current Postgraduate Research Students can apply. Applications from current undergraduate and current postgraduate taught students will not be considered.
