Here at the University of Greater Manchester, we are proud of our growing reputation as a student-focused University. With our strategy of "Teaching Intensive, Research Informed, Assessment Enabled", we are committed to offering our students the best experience possible.
Due to an exciting opportunity within our Student Services & Experience Directorate, we are seeking to appoint a full-time Customer Service Assistant (Receptionist) to provide a professional and welcoming front-line service to students, staff, visitors and external stakeholders based at Senate House.
As the first point of contact for many enquiries, you will play a key role in delivering an excellent customer experience across the University. Your responsibilities will include operating the University's main switchboard, managing reception service, responding to email enquiries, welcoming visitors, responding to enquiries, maintaining records and databases, supporting events and activities, and providing administrative support across the Directorate of Student Services & Experience.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in a busy customer-facing environment, excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a professional and friendly approach. Experience of reception services, switchboard operation and working with a wide range of stakeholders would be advantageous.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative team committed to delivering outstanding services and enhancing the student experience.
We ask a lot from our staff but, in return, you will receive a competitive benefits package including access to the Local Government Pension Scheme, an employee benefits scheme and generous annual leave entitlement. As a small University, you will have opportunities to work with colleagues across campus to support and deliver the best student experience possible.
