The main purpose of this role is to contribute to and support the Climate Ambassadors programme. - Develop a clear understanding of the Northwest region's needs and use these insights to meet the needs of regional stakeholders in delivering the Climate Ambassador programme.
- Adapt national Climate Ambassador strategies and practices to the Northwest, delivering these to ensure strong engagement of both education settings and volunteer ambassadors.
- Work in partnership to develop and deliver a training programme that equips Climate Ambassadors and education settings with the knowledge and skills they need to develop meaningful Climate Action Plans.
The successful candidate will have:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A background in education and/or sustainability and climate change.
- Strong project management skills.
- Experience of developing and delivering training programmes for a range of audiences.
The ability and willingness to travel across the region and nationally for project related activities, and to undertake occasional evening and weekend work as required, is essential.
Benefits include: 25 days leave plus Christmas closure and bank holidays (extra 5 days after 5 years of service), travel loan, wellbeing platform, life insurance, access to campus facilities, enhanced parental leave, high-quality guaranteed pension, and hybrid working opportunities.
