University of Nottingham · Careers and Employability Service

Careers and Employability Placements Consultant (Internal Only)

Nottingham · Hybrid Permanent Full-time Not specified
Closes in 2 days
The University of Nottingham Careers and Employability Service is a sector-leading professional, expert service committed to advancing the graduate prospects of our students and graduates. In locations across all our UK campuses, we work as one service to provide collaboratively conceived, locally managed and collectively delivered services to students from all our Schools and Faculties. The Service has an excellent track record in supporting its students in their transition from university, and into the first steps of their future careers.

We're looking for a proactive and collaborative professional to lead the University's strategic approach to non-clinical placements. In this pivotal role, you'll act as the go-to specialist for placement processes, guidance, and initial health, safety and insurance enquiries, shaping a consistent and high-quality experience for students across the University.

You'll set the direction for placement and work-experience activity within the Careers and Employability Service (CES), while overseeing the delivery of key programmes including the Nottingham Internship Scheme and CES-led placement activity. Using data-driven insight and clear KPIs, you'll monitor performance, evaluate impact, and report progress to senior colleagues.

Working closely with colleagues across CES, schools, faculties and professional services, you'll champion accessible, inclusive provision and help ensure that placement practice is aligned, effective and student-centred.

This is a full-time permanent position with hybrid working options available. You are expected to work at least 60% of the time on campus. Occasional early morning or evening work may be required to attend, support or deliver events.

What we offer:
- A friendly, diverse, and supportive working environment
- A hybrid working arrangement with the blended approach of home and office working each week
- Generous holiday entitlement of 30 days (or pro rata) plus standard bank holidays and five university closure days including closure between Christmas and New Year
- Our reward scheme grants bonuses of numerous values for excellent work
- We are committed to staff development through the provision of training, continued support, and career progression opportunities
- Access to a range of benefits and rewards, including fitness and health facilities, staff discounts, travel schemes and many more
