Sport and Active Lifestyle at the University of Chester is looking for an enthusiastic and qualified Badminton Club Coach to lead and develop our student badminton club.
As Badminton Club Coach, you will deliver engaging and inclusive coaching sessions for players of all abilities. You will support the development of student athletes and club members, and work closely with club captains, committee members, and the Sport Development Team. You will act as a positive role model and ambassador for the University's sporting community, following the sportCHESTER Coaches Code of Conduct and University safeguarding standards.
Essential Requirements:
- Foundation/Level 1 Coaching Qualification in Badminton (minimum)
- Safeguarding and Protecting Children in Sport Certificate
- Experience working with young adults
- Excellent communication and motivational skills
- Ability to plan and deliver coaching sessions independently
Desirable:
- First Aid Qualification
- Experience competing or playing badminton at club level or above
The role runs October–December and January–March (21 weeks of coaching across the academic year), with a maximum of approximately £2,100 per year at £25 per hour.
