Assistant Lecturer in Evidence Synthesis

The School of Medicine wishes to appoint an Assistant Lecturer to join the MBBS team.

The postholder will be responsible for supporting the planning and day to day delivery of two of the MBBS Year 5 teaching blocks. One mandatory block focused on Evidence Synthesis research skills for all students delivered to the whole cohort over the year. Additionally, delivery of an optional student advanced block involving practical implementation of evidence synthesis skills.

The postholder will contribute to teaching for both elements of the year 5 course. This will also involve work on the BEST guideline and review production unit's extensive portfolio of evidence synthesis research projects, including international and national guidelines, systematic reviews, and other related projects, as this produces the content for both elements of the curriculum.

The post holder will work mainly at the Burnley campus, but some attendance at Preston campus may also be required.

About you:
You will have an understanding of evidence synthesis, a range of review traditions, and associated methods, and evidence of contribution to a range of stages in evidence synthesis research projects. Experience of teaching, both large group and small group facilitation is essential. An undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject is essential.
