Anatomy Facility Manager

The Anatomy Facility Manager will be responsible for the management and operation of the anatomy facility at Brighton and Sussex Medical School. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day running of the facility, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations, and supporting teaching and research activities that utilise anatomical specimens and resources.

The post holder will manage the receipt, storage, preparation, and respectful disposal of human tissue in accordance with the Human Tissue Act 2004 and associated codes of practice. They will liaise with regulatory bodies, maintain accurate records, and ensure that all staff and students working in the facility adhere to ethical and legal requirements.

Key responsibilities include facility management, staff supervision, health and safety compliance, and supporting the educational programme in anatomy. The role requires strong organisational skills, experience working with human tissue or in a similar regulated environment, and the ability to work collaboratively with academic and professional services colleagues.
